Boolean Field Type

Use this article to learn how to use Boolean field type.

Before you begin

• Only Xyicon Administrator can create fields. 

Use this field type when you need a binary response for a question or statement. You may assign any values to be displayed when the statement is True or False by replacing the default Yes/No values that are displayed based on the selection. Thus, in addition to the common properties, this Field Type contains two additional properties - Value when true and Value when false.

Steps to Create a Boolean Type of Field

1. On the Xyicon Header, click the Settings () button.
2. Under Settings, click on the desired Module.
3. Click on the Fields Tab.
4. Click on (+) Create to create a new field.
5. In the Create New Field Panel that opens, click on the drop-down in front of Field Type and select Boolean.
6. Give a name for your field.
7. Give a value for Value when true, its default value is Yes.
8. Give a value for Value when false, its default value is No.
9. Optionally, turn on Display On Links, provide a Field Description, and add Helper Text as needed.
10. Click Create to create your new field.
