Linking boundaries allow you to propagate information between different boundary types. ## Before you begin Make sure that your ****Xyicon User**** has the necessary permissions to view and update spaces and boundaries. User permissions are managed by your organization's ****Xyicon Administrator****. --- ## Steps 1. [Open your space in the **Space Editor**](/v1/docs/opening-your-space-in-the-space-editor). 2. If the boundaries you want to link exist in the space, move or edit one boundary so that it is contained inside the other to create the boundary-to-boundary link. Alternatively, you can draw a new boundary within an existing one to create the link. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/d689d9b5-af1b-4ba8-a27d-d8cad72c9618/Images/Documentation/image(11).png) 3. Check the **Links Section** on the **Details** tab to verify the boundary-to-boundary link. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/d689d9b5-af1b-4ba8-a27d-d8cad72c9618/Images/Documentation/image(12).png) 4. To break a boundary-to-boundary link, select the boundary from which you want to remove the association and move the relevant boundary out of the other.
