Email Field Type

Use this field type when you need to input email addresses. When used, the user can only input characters in the format of a valid email address. If a user attempts to enter an invalid email address, a clear error message is displayed, instructing them to “Enter a valid Email”. This automatic validation reduces the chances of error when typing in email addresses.

Steps

1. On the Xyicon Header, click the Settings() button.
2. Under Settings, click on the desired module.
3. Click on the Fields Tab.
4. Click on (+) Create to create a new field.
5. In the Create New Field Panel that opens, click on the drop-down in front of Field Type and select Email.
6. Give a name for your field.
7. Optionally, turn on Display On Links, provide a Field Description, and add Helper Text as needed.
8. Click on Create to create your new field.
