They do not contain any additional properties. Single Line Text field is the default text field type when creating a new field. ## Steps to Create a Single Line or Multi Line Text Type of Field 1. On the Xyicon Header, click the **Settings** **()** button. 2. Under **Settings**, click on the desired Module. 3. Click on the **Fields** Tab. 4. Click on **(+) Create** to create a new field. 5. In the **Create New Field** Panel that opens, give a name for your field. 6. Click on the drop-down in front of **Field Type** and select **Text (Single Line)** or **Text (Multi Line)**. 7. Optionally, turn on **Display On Links**, provide a **Field Description**, and add **Helper Text** as needed. 8. Click **Create** to create your new field.
