Phone Field Type

Use this article to learn how to use Phone field type.

Before you begin

• Only Xyicon Administrator can create fields.

Use this field type to input Phone numbers. It does not contain any additional properties. However, the user-facing field will contain a dropdown for selecting country code and a field that only accepts numbers to reduce input error.

Steps to Create a Phone Type of Field

1. On the Xyicon Header, click the Settings () button.
2. Under Settings, click on the desired Module.
3. Click on the Fields Tab.
4. Click on (+) Create to create a new field.
5. In the Create New Field Panel that opens, give a name for your field.
6. Click on the drop-down in front of Field Type and select Phone.
7. Optionally, turn on Display On Links, provide a Field Description, and add Helper Text as needed.
8. Click Create to create your new field.
