The Glossary defined terms, acronyms, and abbreviations that are commonly used in SpaceRunner.

Account: The entity that has signed up to use SpaceRunner; an Account has at least one project, but can have an unlimited amount of projects.  The Account controls certain features including Catalog, Projects (creating), and Users/Security.

B

Billing Portal: Link to Chargify to update payment details or user contact information; can also be used to upgrade the SpaceRunner account to the next tier.

Boundary: Made available for a Xyicon in the Catalog, boundaries are used to define an area in a space. Additional Xyicons can inherit specified boundary details by being dragged into the boundary's borders.

Captions: Textboxes that appear below a Xyicon displaying data related to a Xyicon such as Placement, Notes, or Department.

Captions Panel: Located on the Space, contains fields and values that can be chosen to appear in the caption box below each Xyicon.

Caption Font: Located on the PDF Export screen, it adjusts the caption font size that appears below the Xyicon on the exported PDF.

Catalog Panel: Located on the Space, contains the Xyicon catalog items that are available for adding onto the Space. Catalog items can be added, edited, and deleted from the panel.

Catalog Grid: Accessed from the navigation menu, contains a list of the Xyicon catalog items that are available for adding onto the Space. Catalog items can be added, edited, and deleted from the module.

Class: Catalog category that helps to differentiate Xyicons from one another.  Examples of Classes are Appliances, Building, or Technology.

Clone: A time-saving tool in the Catalog that creates a new catalog entry by copying an existing catalog entry, then allows the user to make minor edits to the new entry before saving.

Documents: Photos that are attached to a Xyicon from a Space. They can be viewed in the Quick Edit Panel.

E

Events: Associated to a Xyicon, allows the user to bring attention to a problem or issue on the Xyicon, log a note or incident, and/or record a transaction, like maintenance or purchase date. Events are indicated on a Xyicon using a flag icon; a yellow flag will display for regular Events, a red flag will display for Events marked as urgent.

Favorites: Located within the Catalog Panel on the Spacer, catalog entries can be marked as Favorites for quick access. Favorites are indicated with a star and can be displayed by using the Catalog filter. Catalog items can also be marked as favorites using the radio button within the Xyicon Designer.

Fields Order: A tool within the Fields grid used to define the order that fields will appear on the Xyicon Quick Edit panel.

Footer: Located on the PDF Export screen; the date is added by default, but it can be customized.

L

Link: A relationship created between two Xyicons; link types can be Xyicon to Xyicon, Xyicon to Port, or Xyicon to Boundary.

Layers Panel: Located on the Space, hides or displays different parts of the Space like the Space Image, Xyicons, or Captions. The Xyicon layer can be additionally turned on/off by Class.

M

Manage Columns: A tool within all grid modules (Xyicon Grid, Events Grid, Catalog Grid, Fields Grid, and Users Grid) used to modify the layout of columns within the grid.

Model: Field located in the Catalog; indicates the most specific description of an item.  Examples of Model include Lawn, Dishwasher, or 7942.

Navigation Bar (Nav Bar): Refers to the bar on the far left of SpaceRunner that contains several icons for the various features and modules in SpaceRunner, such as Spaces, Users, Catalog, etc.

Navigator: Located on the Space; is a small version of the overall Space and informs the user the location that they are zoomed into on the Space.  Also contains a zoom bar for zooming in and out of the Space.

Notes: Located on the Xyicon Editor, free-form field for storing any notations about a Xyicon.

P

Panel Icon Bar: Located in the Space Viewer, it contains icons that represent the panels available in the viewer.  Panels contain the features and functions available to the user to add Xyicons, manage Captions, or export a PDF.  The available panels are Search, Quick View, Layers, Captions, Toolbox, PDF Export, and Navigator.

Personal Grid: A saved Xyicon Grid that is visible only to the user who created it.

PDF Export: Located on the Space, exports the Space to a PDF with all layers and captions as displayed in the Space.

Placement: Free-form field located on the Xyicon Editor; indicates where a Xyicon may be located.  Examples of Placement may be Desk, Floor, Ceiling, and Wall.

Print Area: Located on the PDF Export panel, it allows the user to either print the entire Space or just the area that displays on the screen.

Profile: Information about the user that is logged in. Contains ID, name, email, and Reset Password.

Project: Created in an Account; projects are a way to separate data.  Security access can be granted/restricted by project.  Examples of projects can be different physical sites (addresses), different Clients, or separate areas of a campus.

Q

Quick Edit Panel: located on the Space and in the Xyicon Grid, displays and allows edits to the fields for a Xyicon directly in the panel; also contains Xyicon link data and any Events associated to the Xyicon. It is accessed by clicking a Xyicon on a Space, or by double-clicking a row in the Xyicon Grid.

Quick Search: Located in the blue bar at the top of the screen, Quick Search allows search of Xyicons for an entire project, regardless of the module or space that you are currently working in. It contains a text box to filter results based upon the typed value; the matching field and value will display in each record.

R

Role: The permissions of a User's Account and Project access privileges.

S

Search Panel: Displays all Xyicons on the current Space; contains a text box to filter results based upon the typed value; the matching field and value will display in each record. An Advanced Option is also available to search for specific criteria in a chosen field.

Scale: Tool used in the Space to define the square area of boundaries within the Space.

Shared Grid: A saved Xyicon Grid that has been made available to all users within a project.

Space: Describes the PDF that you load into SpaceRunner; a Space belongs to a Project and can be a floor plan, drawing, or image that describes the place the Xyicons or “things” reside. 

Spaces Gallery: Thumbnail view of all Spaces that have been loaded into SpaceRunner; clicking on a thumbnail opens the Space Viewer.

Space Viewer: Feature that loads the Space as a background and contains tools and functions to add Xyicons, customize views, and export Spaces.

U

User: Individual that can be added to an Account and given access; when a user is “deleted” their access is removed from the account, but they maintain their username in SpaceRunner.

User Status: Located in the Users grid, “Active” indicates that a user has a current SpaceRunner username and “Pending” indicates that they have been invited, but have not set up a SpaceRunner username yet.

X

Xyicon: An object in the database that has properties tracked about it.  Xyicons are represented by images on the Space.

Xyicon Size: Located on the PDF Export screen, it adjusts the size of the icons on the exported PDF.

Xyicon ID: Given to each Xyicon in SpaceRunner as a unique identifier within an Account.

Z

Zoom Bar: Located in the Navigator in the Space; by dragging it right, it zooms in on the Space; by dragging it left, it zooms out of the Space.
