# Running and Exporting a Report
Xyicon Users
Use this article to learn how to run reports that belong to different report categories.
## Run a User Created Report
| 1. Go to **Main Menu ( ) >** **REPORTS**. 2. Select a report that belongs to the **User Created** category. 3. To run the selected report, click the **Run** button ( ) located on the **Action Bar**. The **Report Preview** pane will open.**TIP:** You can also run a report directly from the *Table* layout. Hover over a report and click on the **Run Report** button ( ) located to the left. 4. Click the **Export** button on the **Action Bar** and click on an option to download your report. |

## Run a Custom Designed Report
| 1. Go to the **Main Menu ( ) > REPORTS**. 2. Select a report that belongs to the **Custom Designed** category. 3. To run the selected report, click the **Run** button ( ) located on the **Action Bar**. To indicate that a report is being ran the alert **One moment please, we are running your report** will appear. You will also receive a message when the report is ready for download. 4. Click the **Download** button in the alert to access your report. |
