Updating a Field

Use this article to learn how to update existing fields. Updating a field in Xyicon is an important task for Xyicon Administrator to ensure data remains accurate and relevant. Xyicon Administrator can perform this task when there are changes in the data requirements or to correct any inaccuracies.

Before you begin

• Only Xyicon Administrator can update fields.

After creating the fields, you can still update or make changes to some details of these fields. 

Steps

1. Click Settings( ) and navigate to the desired module.
2. Go to the Fields tab and click on the relevant field that you want to update.
3. Make the updates you need.
   These changes are applied to the relevant field of the module objects.
   
   NOTE: You cannot change the Field Type after creating a field, but you can update all the other details such as:

   • Name
   • Display On Links
   • Assign by Model
   • Has Formula
   • Field Description
   • Helper Text
   • Assigned Types
   • Formatting Rules
