Updating your Revit Add-in

As you continue your journey using Xyicon’s Revit add-in, you can expect new features to be released to better aid you in your experience. This article describes what needs to be carried out when a new release has been announced by Xyicon for it’s Revit Add-in.

1. Once a new release has been announced by Xyicon, the next time you open up Revit you will see the below popup:

2. From here you will need to update the add-in to continue working with Revit and the add-in. Do so by selecting the first option.

3. Once you select to run the update the system will go ahead and download the necessary files for the setup of the add-in. Once complete you will see the below popup:

4. From here you can choose to either open file explorer to view the setup files if needed by selecting the first option. If not select “Cancel” to continue.

5. Next close the Revit application once more. After a few seconds the installation wizard should run automatically to install the latest version that was downloaded previously.

6. Continue with the installation similar to how you initially installed the application. If you already had PDF995 installed this can be unchecked this time to continue.

You have now successfully installed the latest version of the Revit Add-in. Continue on by using Revit as you would normally. When the next release is announced please follow the above instructions for a smooth experience.
