Single Sign-On (SSO) is a user authentication process that allows you to access multiple applications with one set of login credentials. SSO lets you log in and gain access to all your connected apps instead of having to remember different usernames and passwords for each application.

Setting up SSO for your organization in the Xyicon application provides some key benefits to your business organization.

These benefits are as follows:

  • Improved User Experience

    • Seamless Access: Users can access multiple applications with a single set of credentials, eliminating the need to remember and enter multiple usernames and passwords.

    • Time Savings: Reduces login time and frustration associated with password management, allowing users to focus on their work.

  • Enhanced Security

    • Reduced Password Fatigue: Fewer passwords mean a lower likelihood of weak or reused passwords, minimizing the risk of credential theft.

    • Easier Revocation of Access: When a user leaves the organization, access to all third-party applications can be revoked centrally, enhancing security.

  • Increased Productivity

    • Faster Onboarding: New employees can be onboarded quickly with immediate access to necessary applications without the need to set up multiple accounts.

    • Reduced Helpdesk Calls: Fewer password-related issues can lead to a decrease in helpdesk calls and support requests, freeing up IT resources.

  • Simplified User Management

    • Centralized Control: Administrators can manage user accounts and permissions from a central location, making it easier to enforce security policies and compliance standards.

    • Automated Provisioning: SSO solutions often integrate with identity management systems that automate user provisioning and deprovisioning across third-party applications.

Supported Identity Providers

We currently support using the SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) protocol to authenticate users that are in your Microsoft Azure Active Directory. If you use a different authentication protocol or directory service, contact us for guidance on the next steps.

Enabling SSO

While SSO is not enabled by default in the Xyicon application, it can easily be set up for your entire organization although not for a single Xyicon user account. Once configured, you will have secure access to your Xyicon account through single sign-on authentication and can log in via single sign-on.

Enabling SSO on the Xyicon application requires a few simple steps. You first need your Active Directory account linked to the Xyicon application. To link the accounts in organization with the Xyicon application, contact us at support@xyicon.com.
