Assigning Permission Sets

Use this article to learn how to assign Permission Sets to users.

Before you begin

• Ensure you have created at least one permission set before assigning it to users.
• Only Xyicon Administrator can assign permission sets.

  Users are assigned to portfolios using permission sets. Once Xyicon User is assigned to a permission set, that user will be granted the relevant permissions for the selected portfolio or portfolio group.

Option 1 - Assigning Permission Sets for an Individual Portfolio

1. Go to Users from Settings ( ) and select the user who should be assigned to the permission set.
2. Next, expand the Portfolio Permissions section on the side panel Details tab (  ).
3. Expand Individual Portfolios, click the Add button ( ), and select the portfolio from the dropdown list.
4. Next, choose the relevant Permission Set you need to allow to the selected portfolio.

Option 2 - Assigning Permission Sets for Portfolio Groups

1. Go to Users from Settings ( ) and select the user who should be assigned to the permission set.
2. Next, expand the Portfolio Permissions section on the side panel Details tab ( ).
3. Expand Portfolio Groups,  and the Add button ( ) to select the portfolio group from the dropdown list.
4. Next, choose the relevant Permission Set that you need to allow to the selected portfolio group.
