Article summary

Take a look at the new features and improvements we've released this month.

Select your new report’s module from the Action Bar

We have made a change in how you specify a report’s module when creating a report. Instead of selecting the module on the Create Report wizard, you can choose to directly create a Xyicon Report or Boundary Report from the Action Bar.
This also means that you cannot change a report’s module in the Edit Report and Clone Report wizards.
Check out our knowledge base articles to learn how to create, edit, and clone reports in SpaceRunner.

Drag and drop columns when defining views and reports

Use our drag and drop feature to easily choose columns when defining views and reports. To drag and drop multiple columns, simply hold down the Ctrl key when selecting the columns.

Improved our boundary caption positioning algorithm

Our developers have been working tirelessly to improve SpaceRunner's boundary caption positioning algorithm to make your work easier. Simply move your boundary anywhere on the space, and the captions will reposition automatically.

Added word wrapping capabilities to the Text Box and Shape markups

Resize a Text Box or a Shape markup, and the text inside it will rearrange itself to fit the width of the markup.

Improvements to User Preferences

SpaceRunner will now save your preferences for the features listed below.

Side Panel
  • Resize the Side Panel to your preferred width, and SpaceRunner will apply it across all modules.
  • Expand or collapse any sections under Fields to your liking, and SpaceRunner will remember your choice.
Space Editor
  • Choose to show or hide the Space Editor Navigator Panel, and SpaceRunner will remember your preference.

Arrow and Line Markup – Change line thickness

Change the thickness of a line or arrow markup right from the Action Bar. Use different line weights to draw focus and distinguish the information you want to share with your teammates.
