Realign Background

The Realign Background in the Space Editor settings helps correct any misalignment after uploading a new version of a space. If the background alignment was not set or was misaligned during uploading a new version, this option enables you to adjust the background so that all xyicons and boundaries are accurately positioned within the space.

Before you begin

Make sure your Xyicon User has the necessary permissions to access the Space Editor. User permissions are managed by your organization's Xyicon Administrator.

Steps

1. Navigate to the Spaces module and double-click on your space to open it in the Space Editor.

2. Click the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner of the Space Editor.

3. From the menu, choose Realign Background. The realign toolbar will appear on the top-left corner of your Space Editor view, along with the alignment toolbar on the top-right corner.

   The left-side toolbar contains three tools:

   • Pan Tool: Move around the space.

   • Move Background: Adjust only the background to align objects.

   • Set Pin: Pin a corner of the background and adjust it using the alignment toolbar.

4. To realign the background, you can:

   • Pin a corner using the Set Pin tool and adjust the scale of the background using the alignment tool in the top-right corner.

   • Reposition the background using the Move Background tool to align boundaries and xyicons accurately.

5. After completing your adjustments, click Confirm Alignment to save the changes.

6. To exit the alignment tool, click the arrowhead icon on the top of the left-side toolbar.
