Switch to V5 to access this functionality.

This article explains how to customize icons and colors for Views and Folders in Xyicon using the Color & Icon option available in the menu. This helps you quickly identify and organize items in the workspace navigation panel.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you have created or shared views.

  • Ensure that you have edit permissions for the shared views to customize icons and colors.

  • Ensure that you are a Xyicon Administrator to customize icons and colors for global views.

Customizing the Icon and Color for a View

  1. In the workspace navigation panel, locate the view you want to customize.

  2. Click the menu next to the view and select Color & Icon.

  3. In the Icon section, select an icon from the library.

Use the Find Icon search to locate an icon quickly.

NOTE: If a view uses the default system icon, the ban (no selection) icon () is shown in the picker.
To revert the icon into default, choose ban icon.

  4. In the Color section, select a color from the available colors.

Use the Advanced option to choose more colors.

Changes are applied immediately and reflected in the corresponding view tab.

IMPORTANT: When you customize icons and colors in a shared view or a global view, these changes will be visible to all shared users.

Section headers (Favorites, Global Views, My Views, Shared With Me) cannot be customized.

Customizing Folder Color

Customizing icons for folders is not permitted; only the color of the default icon can be modified. Changing the color of a folder icon will not affect the views inside the folder.

  1. Locate the folder in the workspace navigation panel.

  2. Click the menu next to the folder and select Color.

  3. Choose a color from the available colors.

Use the Advanced option to choose more colors.
